Application Engineering / Purchasing guide
A handlebar enquiry should identify the complete cockpit configuration rather than only the preferred shape. Specify the intended interfaces, cable-routing needs and application-specific acceptance requirements. A photograph can show whether you want a flat or drop form, but it cannot establish fit or safe compatibility with the rest of a bicycle.
Catalogue reference image. Confirm the quoted configuration against the agreed drawing.
Identify the cockpit architecture
State whether the requirement is for a separate handlebar or an integrated cockpit and provide the applicable drawing. Identify the stem or steerer interface, controls and any accessories that the design must accommodate. Keep geometry and appearance requirements separate so the supplier can review both clearly.
Document routing and mounting needs
Show cable or hose routes and the locations of clamps and mounted accessories where relevant. Provide component references or interface dimensions approved by the responsible designer. Do not assume that two controls described by the same informal category have identical mounting requirements.
Define approval for the actual build
Agree the dimensional checks and application-specific verification required for the configuration. Record the exact components used during fit approval. Avoid presenting a catalogue illustration or a visual fit as evidence of riding suitability; the completed product needs its applicable design and acceptance process.

Frequently asked questions
Is bar width the only size needed?
No. The full geometry and mating interfaces must be defined for the intended cockpit.
Can accessories be added after approval without review?
Check changes against the approved mounting and application requirements rather than assuming they are automatically compatible.
Discuss your carbon fiber component
Send your drawing revision, intended application, quantity and acceptance requirements to Litian Yunde for a project review.
