Carbon Fiber Road Frame — configuration detail

Reordering Custom Carbon Fiber Parts Without Specification Drift

Purchasing & Quality / Purchasing guide

At a glance

A repeat order should reference the approved definition, not simply ask for “the same as last time.” Confirm the drawing revision, material identity, finish reference and any agreed deviations. A short reorder review can reveal changes in mating parts or expectations before they become an avoidable fit or acceptance problem.

Reconfirm the approved baseline

Identify the previous order and the exact definition that is being repeated. Check whether the earlier delivery included a temporary deviation or prototype-only adjustment. Make clear which features are to remain unchanged and which, if any, are being revised for the new order.

Check both sides of the interface

Ask the internal design and assembly teams whether mating hardware, components or service requirements have changed. Inform the supplier of relevant changes even when the carbon part drawing appears unchanged. An old component can become unsuitable for a revised assembly without any visible change to the component itself.

Confirm the repeat-production scope

Request confirmation of the current quotation, quantity, delivery and required inspection records. Ask the supplier to flag proposed substitutions or changes that affect the approved specification. At receiving, verify the revision and agreed evidence rather than relying on visual similarity to the previous batch.
